Tarikh'i Gilum [History of the reign of the German Emperor Wilhelm I],
A Persian translation of the history on the the German Emperor Wilhelm I (1794-1871), whose name is here given as Gilum, from the French original text by Edouard Simon. This translation was first commissioned by Nasir al-Din Shah Qajar however it wasn't completed until the reign of Muzaffar al-Din Shah Qajar, both these patrons are described in the text.
Single volume, lithographed on paper, in Farsi, complete, 183 leaves, 8vo (250 x 165 mm); printed from a manuscript copied in single column, 22 lines of nasta'liq script, decorated headpieces on opening double page, leaves double-ruled with catch-words throughout, bookplate of Firuz library to upper pastedown, leaves a little browned else clean copy; housed in a contemporary pink cloth binding, a little faded and soiled, with remains of paper label to spine.
