Postans (1808-46) was assistant to the political agent in Sindh and Baluchistan. A comprehensive description of Sindh including Karachi, Hyderabad, and the River Indus.

First edition; 8vo, xv, 402 pp., inscribed at head of title: 'to be published on the 12th inst' and 'Mrs Postans', colour lithographed frontispiece, 13 text illustrations, folding map (neat repairs), some slight foxing, contemporary half calf over marbled boards, a very good copy.
