Stockholmska Scener.

A scarce collection of humorous scenes of Swedish life by Hjalmar Graf Mörner (1794-1837). Mörner spent many years touring Europe, staying in Rome for twelve of them, and became known for his pointed social commentary. The plates were printed at the leading Swedish lithographic print shop, Gjothstrom and Magnusson in Stockholm.

folio (36 x 26.5 cm); 16 lithographed plates by Gjothstrom & Magnusson after Morner, 4 of which hand-coloured, a few finger marks to margins, pl. 3 lightly toned; later quarter calf retaining original publisher's boards, gilt title label pasted to upper board, a little scuffed but otherwise a very good copy.
