Rare. Lumsden includes a short account of Muscat and describes his voyage up the Persian Gulf. Also includes Bushire, Isfahan, Tabriz, Tiflis, Rostov, Odessa and Cracow. Lumsden travelled to England in 1820 from India in the company of his cousin, Matthew, the famous authority on the Persian and Arabic languages.

George Bosanquet (1791-1866) was the eldest son of Jacob Bosanquet (1755-1828) who served as Chairman of the East India Company on three occasions in 1798, 1803 and 1811.
