Isidore Laurent Deroy (1797-1886) was a prolific watercolourist and lithographer, primarily of the countryside of France.
First edition; 3 parts in 1 vol., landscape folio (28 x 37 cm); complete with 36 hand-coloured lithograph plates on China paper by C. Motte after Deroy, lithographed map, hand-coloured lithograph title, each plate discreet blind stamped by C. Motte, with hand-coloured lithographed original wrappers of the three parts bound in, bookplate to front pastedown, plates clean and bright; later half cloth, marbled boards, contemporary gilt morocco label to spine, edges a little rubbed, otherwise a fine copy.
