This picture provides a street view of the Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem, one of the most important and frequently used gates to the Old City. Here you can see a view from inside the city walls, with the residents using the street as a thoroughfare for transporting goods on their camels and for getting from one side of the Old City to the other.
The Jaffa Gate and Jaffa Road are named after the port of Jaffa, from which the Prophet Jonah embarked on his sea journey and pilgrims embarked on their trip to the Holy City.
