Eggleston made these photographs during the early 1970s using a large-format 5 x 7 camera. They include portraits, streetscapes, and interiors that are typical of much of his work. They also include previously unpublished photographs taken in some of the nightclubs Eggleston frequented. The laid-in poster is for Stranded in Canton, a film by Willian Eggleston, and William Eggleston in the Real World, a film by Michael Almereyda.
