A scarce edition of the traditional Russian folk tale, the Frog Princess, unusually printed in Saratov. Sapozhnikov's illustrations are undoubtedly inspired by Bilibin's which appeared twenty years earlier.

First edition, oblong 4to (24 x 18 cm); black and white and colour illustrations throughout, ownership inscription of 'Kolya Kopylov, Sochi' to upper cover of wrapper and first page of text; original printed wrappers, spine reinforced with tape, a good copy.
