Rare presentation copy of Quentin Crisp's 'early' memoirs, inscribed on the front free endpaper, 'To John McFadden from Quentin Crisp'.

This book and the award-winning film version starring John Hurt made a celebrity of the flamboyant Crisp, a fame he exploited brilliantly with a series of touring monologues, chat show appearances and other writings, adopting a transatlantic lifestyle and even presenting an alternative 'Queen's Speech' for Channel 4 (1993).
