Inscribed and dated by the author in black ink to front blank, 'For / darling Edith / from her / devoted brother / Osbert / November -3-1939'. A lovely family association from brother to sister.

First edition, inscribed by the author to Edith Sitwell; 8vo; 16 black and white illustrations, including frontispiece; publisher's green cloth, gilt lettering to spine, corners a little rubbed, spine ends slightly bumped, pictorial endpapers, with the unclipped dust-jacket, signs of wear and edge nicks, especially to top of spine, spine a little marked, tape repair to lower inside edge of front cover, otherwise a very good clean copy.
