Nathaniel Lloyd OBE (1867 -1933) was a successful businessman who established Nathaniel Lloyd & Co, Lithographic Printers who mostly printed marketing material such as posters. Later in life he turned his efforts towards his passion of architecture, studying under Sir Edwin Lutyens and setting up a small practice of his own. Lloyd also owned and restored the Grade I listed house Great Dixter in East Sussex.

First edition, third impression; 4to (32 x 23.5 cm); 888 in-text and photographic illustrations, light spotting to a few leaves; publisher's green cloth, gilt lettering to spine and upper board, a little sun-faded, otherwise a very good copy; ix, 487pp.
