Kenya, Uganda and Zanzibar.
The scarce 1920 handbook on Kenya, Uganda, and Zanzibar issued the same year that the East Africa Protectorate was disestablished and Kenya was constituted as a colony of Britain with Zanzibar becoming it's protectorate.
This series of handbooks was originally drawn up in 1917 for the British Delegates who would attend the Paris Peace Conference to give them helpful information on whichever nation they would treat with. The text of the handbook was not altered to reflect the 1920 changes, but the title and wrappers were altered to reflect the change in status of Kenya and the obsolescence of the East Africa Protectorate name.
Only 6 copies in UK institutions and not in Cambridge or BL.
First public edition; 8vo (21.5 x 14 cm); Ex-Foreign Office with "Withdrawn" stamp to second leaf, remains of label to pastedown of upper wrapper, discreet reference numbers to upper wrapper and verso of title; publisher's green printed wrappers, subtle crease to wrappers and text, staples a little rusty, spine faded, otherwise a very good copy; [8], 110pp.
