Seven Winters.

presentation copy

Inscribed by the author 'Elizabeth Bowen for Gene Andrewski' in black ink to the title page. Bowen's memoir of her childhood in Dublin, printed by The Cuala Press. Andrewski was at times photographer, theatrical producer and literary journalist: his biggest claim to immortality at this period is however, his collecting activity, and the distant tone of the inscription suggests a solicited inscription. Contents clean and entirely unopened, an excellent copy.

First edition, number 394 of 450 copies, inscribed by the author; 8vo; original quarter pale linen with mustard paper covered boards, printed paper label to spine, front cover lettered in black.
