A complete set of first printings of the Factory Novels. The Factory was apparently London slang for Poland Street police station which covered Soho, London's sex district. Really as near to hard boiled detective fiction produced by an English writer in those years. The first book is particularly difficult to obtain in collector's condition, especially signed.
First edition, first impressions, UK issues; 6 vols, 8vo; He Died With His Eyes Open and Dead Man Upright signed by the author; publisher's black, blue or red boards, titles to spines gilt (or silver as issued) with the dust-jackets; couple of spots to the top edged of Suarez, but lovely copies in the dust-jackets.
