The book almost certainly came to Veste Coburg around 1874 with Grand Duchess Maria Aleksandrovna, eldest daughter of Tsar Alexander II, when she married Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, later Third Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.

4to (28 x 22 cm); frontispiece portrait of Catherine the Great, title, dedication to the memory of the Empress, 160pp., all text leaves with a blue and gilt border, some minor foxing, Coburg library bookplate to upper pastedown, beige silk moire endpapers; contemporary blue morocco backed blue velvet binding, covers gilt ruled and title and crown stamped in gilt to upper cover, some wear to velvet, a very good copy.
