A truly Soviet depiction of the summer holidays for Young Pioneers. The children help harvest crops on a collective farm, chop wood and build houses. They are, however, allowed some time 'down time' playing in the river. The illustrations by Akhmetev are exceptionally vivid and the book is in excellent condition.
