L A AIR comprises ten photographs of the various hues seen in the polluted air above Los Angeles. It is an extension of Nauman's earlier book CLEA RSKY (ca.1968) and was originally created for inclusion in the Artists & Photographs box that accompanied an exhibition at Marian Goodman Gallery, New York.
